This has been a tough couple of weeks. We have had a group of at least 5 girls/women that have been in to the salon recently and wait at least a week and then call to complain about their service and then want their money back. This has never happened before and we have been trying to figure out why all of a sudden we have had this many unhappy clients. After researching online I discovered that some of them know each other and are discussing what they are doing online. One of them came into the salon and got bright red highlights with black color in between. She waited 2 weeks to call and say that she does not like the red. Our policy is that a client must contact us within 3 days when requesting a re-do service. In order to make her happy we agreed to color her red highlights with black color even though she had waited so long. She came in and just had the highlights colored black. She again waited 2 more weeks to call and demand a refund. This time she stated that she is fine with the color but she wanted her money back because Leigh Ann was mean to her and pulled her hair. She also stated that Leigh Ann dripped color on her face so she wanted a refund. Leigh Ann is one of the sweetest people on the planet and I know there is absolutely no truth to this statement! At this point her original service was almost 5 weeks ago. Of course we refused the refund. Having nothing better to do obviously, she has begun to post reviews all over the internet saying how mean we are. Really? Anyone that has ever come in to our salon knows that statement could not be further from the truth. I began following her all over the place commenting on her reviews but I have decided it is just not worth my time. She simply looks ridiculous in her posts. Her grammar, punctuation, spelling and just the way conducts herself will tell anyone that reads her reviews that she is not very intelligent and that she cannot be believed. It just really bothers me that anyone can post anything untrue online and then it is the business’ responsibility to prove that the review is untrue. I think that any site that posts reviews should have to contact the business about a negative review before posting to be at least fairly sure that what is being posted has some truth to it. I am glad that I found out that some of them know each other so that we are aware of what they are doing the next time they come in. We have hundreds of clients that love coming to us so I am not going to let a few rude and dishonest people upset me anymore. We have to concentrate on the clients that make us happy to go to work everyday! Thank you to all of you that know that a kind word can make our days better even after dealing with difficult people. Oh and if any of you would like to post happy reviews for us on our facebook, kudzu, superpages etc. that would make us really happy too!

I am a person who looks at reviews before making decisions (which is how I found you guys to begin with, by the way). I would hope that most people are competent enough to know the difference between a credible review, and a lot of sites let you track what reviews they’ve given to others. Don’t worry about going behind her and making a comment in defense – you don’t need to (and some may view it as a negative thing). There are plenty of us that love you guys and either have written reviews or would be willing to. You could always offer an incentive for leaving feedback, though it might get hard to track (maybe they could print their review and bring it in, again, hard to know if it’s them). How about if they use their smartphones and leave a review before leaving the salon they get some perk on their next appt ($ off or an additional service of some kind). Just some thoughts. I think you guys are great and everything should come out fine in the end! : )

I came in for the first time about 5 weeks ago and got the best cut and color of my life from Leigh Ann. With this cut, I even look “cute” when I first wake up!
I can’t wait to go back. As a matter of fact, I’m scheduled to come in next Monday, but I’m going to try and see if I can get in earlier!
