I am starting to be a little more optimistic about the salon. I have heard that the two stylists that I let go have taken jobs at a salon next to mine. They signed an employee agreement that stated they could not accept employment at a salon within 10 miles of my salon and technically I could fight the whole thing out in court but really why? I did not want them in my business because of their negative behavior so I have decided to just be happy that they will now drive some one else crazy for a while. We are staying really busy and the salon has such a different “feel” to it that I actually like going in again. Christina, Cassie and Sarah are working really well together. They help each other out and really seem to enjoy working together. They are also keeping the salon very clean.  We are also using way less product than we were before. So, I am not seeing any negative outcomes to this downsizing of the salon. It really is nice to not worry about listening to complaining and  how we should be doing everything differently. For now it seems like they just really want to work, have some fun and go home. That’s it. Maybe I should have done this a long time ago and I would not have had to waste so much time being miserable. I think for now I want to just keep things the way they are and not think about growing the staff. If it happens, it happens but for now I am just going to go to work, have some fun and GO HOME! We will see…….
